Sarah Frances 'Sadie' Price (1849-1903) was an American botanist and teacher. She discovered and named several new species of plants, and was also a talented artist, reproducing several hundred works in pencil and watercolor. She assembled these into an exhibit displayed at the Chicago Columbian World's Fair Exposition of 1893, where she won first prize for her watercolor images of Kentucky plants. She also wrote for many popular magazines and journals and lectured on various subjects. Her published works include: Songs from the Southland (as editor) (1890), Shakespeare's Twilights (1892), Flora of Warren County, Kentucky (1893), Fern Collectors Handbook and Herbarium (1896), The Trees and Shrubs of Kentucky (1896), The Mollusca of Southern Kentucky (1900), Kentucky Folk-Lore (1901) and Bird Sketches From Southern Kentucky (1904).
