Stories of Many Cultures

The Hodder Reading Project Level 5-6 identifies blocks to progression and takes pupils from National Curriculum Level 5 to Level 6. It comprises the Teacher's Resource and the 6 Readers. Reader 2, Level 5, Stories of Many Cultures edited by John Catron, Sue Hackman and Jean Moore. 'stories of Many Cultures' is a multi-cultural collection of twelve short stories and extracts, ranging from the experiences of ex-slaves in America's Deep South to contemporary teenage life in Asian Britain. The selection includes stories from well-known authors such as Ursula Le Guin and Amy Tan, as well as new writers like Romesh Gunesekara.
