Dr. George Skarpathiotis, a pediatrician of the South Suburbs of Chicago, has dedicated over 35 years of his life caring for the community. Dr. George has positively influenced generations of families with his signature catchphrases, pockets full of magic tricks and big heart. Written and illustrated by Stephanie M. Ryan, a pediatric nurse in the practice, The Story of Dr. George captures the spirit of a truly inspiring physician that will feel like a walk down memory lane for patients of all ages.

Stephanie Ryan developed a passion for writing and illustrating from very early on. She loved creating things that brought others joy - especially other children. As an adult, this passion evolved into a career as a pediatric nurse. Now a mom, Stephanie enjoys sharing her love for story telling and illustrating with her daughter. "The Story of Dr. George" is a beautiful homage to the founder of Dr. George Kids. In this story Stephanie gets to combine both of her worlds and debut her first published piece.
