These short fictional stories were selected from over two hundred entries in a contest sponsored by Straight from the Heart LLC. This company is committed to encourage and reward excellence in our schools. It specializes in books for children. Editor/Compiler David McKinney has been a minister for over thirty years. Though he holds bachelor's and master's degrees, David likes to admit that he still can't make a good pan of cornbread! He is currently a chaplain for a hospice company and his wife (Pam) is a hospice nurse. Their hope with this book is to inspire excellence in others.
