Strictly for the Birds tackles these serious questions in the tradition of Orwell's Animal Farm, turning students, parents, teachers and politicians into birds whose all-too-human shortcomings let us laugh at a tragedy in the making.At Osprey-Bufflehead Middle School, teachers and administrators are tearing their feathers out over the latest governmental folly, the No Bird Left Out Act. "NoBLO" could make their school a no-show as far as salary increases and badly needed repairs. When an alien kiwi upsets the balance of skilled versus non-skilled students, the adults throw up their wings in despair... but in a dramatic and surprising turn of events, little Hannah Kiwi may have just the right talents to save the day.
