Strip Patchwork

This classic text by one of Britain's leading embroiderers explores every aspect of strip patchwork, an extremely versatile craft which can be used to create wall hangings, quilts, cushions or clothes. Including numerous design ideas as well as technical information, the book shows how abstract designs, geometric patterns and picture images can be easily built up with a variety of coloured strips of different lengths and widths. Detailed instructions for piecing strips by 15 different techniques are given, including log cabin, machine piecing and strips sewn to a backing, and there is a useful section on dyeing.
