Subnational Government The French Experience

The aim of this book is to present an overview of the machinations of subnational government in France. With globalization and the EU, local and regional government have experienced dramatic changes in the way that they operate, the responsibilities that they have and their links with the hierarchy of government organization. John Loughlin examines theoretical approaches to subnational government and offers a comparative view of France with other European countries and the United States.
