The stories unfold in the small coastal town of Canterbury Cove in the southern state of Georgia and travels across the globe only to return to where it all began. Taja, Temple, Phoenix, CC, and Samira discover at an early age the power of ambition. The girls have big dreams and believe they know what it takes to make their dreams come true. In their quests, Taja's greed for the finer things in life, mirror her true ambitions. Temple's envy for what another woman has takes her to the brink of committing the ultimate sin. Phoenix's pride may cost her life's greatest virtue whereas life's greatest virtue costs Samira the ultimate sacrifice. Lust leads CC into a world of risque sexual behaviors, but what is crazy is that she's not sure if her experiences are real or imagined. The girls are determined not to let anything stand in the way of their dreams including a secret they share that could unravel at any time and make them all come crashing down. Loyalty is tested, friendship is challenged but in the end, loyalty and love stand strong against all odds. However, the real heart of the story is about more than that.
