Tales With a Twist

This book consists of 44 brief, independent stories about a wide range of topics. Most of the stories have unexpected conclusions or twists. Twenty-six of the stories are fiction. The characters in these tales are not interrelated. Eighteen of the stories reflect actual events involving the author as he grows from early youth to an octogenarian. The stories can be read in any order, with no maximum time between stories. If the reader keeps the book on a nightstand and reads only one story each evening, nothing will be lost, and the book will last more than six weeks.
