Jaideep Saikia (Guwahati) and Ekaterina Stepanova (Stockholm/Moscow) are terrorism and conflict analysts. They had earlier worked on a project on 'Spoilers and Devious Objectives in Peace Processes' for the United Nations University. This book developed as a result of their close academic interaction and a desire to put together an international team of experts to pioneer a research project on the phenomenon of internationalization of terrorism.
