Stanley Kauffmann is the theater critic of Saturday Review and was theater critic of The New York Times and The New Republic. (He has long been the film critic of The New Republic.) He has received the George Jean Nathan Award for Dramatic Criticism, as well as Guggenheim, Ford, and Rockefeller fellowships. He teaches at the Yale School of Drama and in the Theater Department of the CUNY Graduate Center
