Considered a masterpiece, this book narrates the countless adventures of Tom Sawyer and his inseparable friend Huckleberry Finn. Based on the life of the author in Missouri, the tale saw immediate success and continues today to be one of the most popular American literary works.

Carmen Gil started publishing books in 2003, and since has had more than 90 works published, many of them translated to different languages, aside from spanish. Gil specializes in children's literature, and works to share and aid in the teaching of cultural animation for children. Gil has also done theater projects, puppet shows, story telling and dance workshops, just to name a few. Gil teaches poetry courses in elementary schools. Gil gives talks to encourage reading for families and teachers. Gil has collaborated with various institutions such as Instituto Cervantes and Centro Andaluz de las Letras.
