Frances Brown is a writer, editor and translator who has had a variety of jobs in journalism and publishing. She was the editor of Tourism Management from 1987 to 1996 and is also the editor of Space Policy. Brought up in the Weald she lived for many years in Edenbridge, Kent but is now based in Southwest Scotland, where she works freelance and is an honorary lecturer at Strathelyde University.
