Tribal Fantasies Native Americans in the European Imaginary, 1900-2010

This transnational and comparative collection of interdisciplinary essays discusses the continuing adoption and appropriation of Native American culture, imagery, and spirituality in European culture. Contributors argue that the last hundred years have seen the way Europe imagines Natives shifting from exoticism to outright fantasy, mirroring the changing European perception of America itself.
