Continuing an Ancient Tradition In the early days of Christianity, when the first intellectuals became converts, a strong tradition of "Faith seeking understanding" was begun. Reaching high points with Augustine of Hippo and Thomas Aquinas, it has found members today with Chesterton and Teilhard de Chardin. The tales in this volume are in that tradition and take a modern, but more parabolic approach.
