Values in Education

Values in Education analyses the values of teachers and the values that teachers are supposed to foster. The book starts with an overview of the different roles of values in education and then considers what is special about moral values. It also looks at the way in which the diversity of values in modern societies can lead to conflict, and at the particular values of tolerance and compromise which may be a response to this diversity.
