Reissue of a novel published in Britain in 1979. It deals with the confrontation between two different civilisations. The story is based on an alleged sighting in 1959 of a UFO and the legal inquiry that resulted. Includes author's note. This edition includes a new foreword by Anthony J. Hassall, author of a critical study of Stow's literature, 'Strange Country'. Author received the 1979 Patrick White Award. His other publications include 'To the Islands' and 'Tourmaline'.
