Visitor and Visited

Visitor and Visited: A Communion is a commentary on the Real Presence in real situations outside the church, where people live and die, in real time. It is written from the lay perspective for those facing life-changing or life-ending situations and those who minister to them. The simple exchange between believers can be awkward or sublime. They are unexpected and they are customary. Friendships develop around the sharing of Eucharist. People change. The sick may surrender or strengthen, the minister called of a sudden or well prepared. Somehow, there is a Holy Communion despite distractions and worries, hopes and longings.
