Anna Ruth Joyce has been living a good life and has helped raise a good family; nothing uncommon for an Irish-Catholic grandmother. She hasn't felt the need to have a change of pace, until the day her entrepreneur grandson Sean offers to let her try out FAILTE, a new virtual gaming world of his creation. As a young, strong-willed warrior avatar named Rita, Anna Ruth encounters two other female players, an elemental mage and a golem, and gets a hold of a powerful weapon. Together they set out to the desert and stumble upon a frontier town But these new experiences come with cues to her grandson's vast and somewhat warped imagination... and an unforeseen danger to the entire game.

Stephen Johnston is the co-owner of SonDad Enterprises LLC, Tabhair Records and Music Publishing LLC, and SonDad Studios. In addition to the VR Nana book series, he will soon be publishing the first installment of a companion book series. He has also co-produced six music albums along with his father, singer/songwriter Thomas Johnston. Furthermore, Stephen has written a soon-to-be-published graphic novel based on a cartoon series he is creating. Stephen is a graduate of Rider University.
