Wainwright Book 2006

The illustrations in the desk diary and address book for 2006 are ink drawings of landscapes in England, Scotland and Wales taken from Wainwright's sketchbooks. The pocket diary, small enough to stuff into a pocket or backpack has illustrations from his Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells. Each diary has a picture for every week of the year and contains national and religious holidays and astronomical information. Born in Blackburn in 1907, Alfred Wainwright left school at the age of 13. A holiday at the age of 23 kindled a life long love affair with the Lake District.
