A Walk on the "Wilder" Side

Dan Wilder is a dinosaur in the ever changing world of criminal investigations. He dates back to another era when it comes to detective work. He solves his cases the old fashioned way; by talking to people, asking hard questions and getting answers, sometimes by twisting arms; and a lot of footwork. He isn't up on all the latest gadgets like computers, long range bugging devices, or any other electronic equipment; not when he has to operate them anyway. Dan takes the case only to wind up being framed for the murder of a restaurateur.In the second story, "The Case of the Fourth Monkey" Dan is hired to find a missing Jade monkey that makes up a set of four in the collection owned by a multi-millionaire. When dead bodies start turning up, Dan realizes that there are others seeking the valuable object as well. Exciting and humorous from start to finish.
