From the 11th to the 19th century, this book follows the military prowess of the family as they fought in the Conquest of England, against the Scots, and both for and against Napoléon. As they found great military glory in Spain, Russia, Austria and as they fought against each other in the wars of Elizabeth I, Cromwell, William of Orange between England and Ireland, and, finally, in the American Civil War.
