Partha Sarathi Bhattacharyya joined Coal India Limited (CIL) as a management trainee in 1977 and ultimately went on to become its chairman and managing director in 2006. He engineered the country's largest ever IPO-a Rs 15,000-crore offer which was subscribed over twelve times.
