"When the Sand Dries" is a collection of poetry about existence during a global pandemic. With love as the focal point, the reader is guided through an interactive experience meant to test their assumptions, passions, and beliefs. Seeking healing in the wake of a worldwide tragedy, these lyrical poems drive at the common experience we have shared this year. In this way, we can start to process what has happened together.

Alexandra Rose deMatteo is a M.A. graduate of the Public Policy; International Conflict Resolution and Mediation program at Tel Aviv University and a B.A. graduate from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. In addition to a career in journalism, Alexandra works as a Yoga and Barre fitness instructor.
