A number of poems and writings created over a period of time.
Lee Smith was born in Birmingham, Alabama and grew up in Marianna, Florida. He majored in Fine Arts at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and joined the Air Force after graduation. He married his wife, Dorothy Tate, in 1958 and has three children, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and one more currently on the way. He moved many times during his years as a fighter pilot in the Air Force (he flew reconnaissance in Vietnam) and then as a pilot for private individuals (like Frank Sinatra) and corporations in the States and overseas. Always a constant during this time was the need to express his thoughts and feelings through art and writing. He has created many paintings, sketches and watercolors that have ended up on walls all around the world. This is his second book, the first is an autobiography, Runways of My Life. He has enjoyed several hobbies over the years, including gardening, singing in the choir, winemaking and watching polo.
