Domenico “Mick” Cacciola is a former detective with the Queensland Police Force with 35 years of experience. He is the recipient of many service awards, including the National Medal and the Queen’s Commendation for Brave Conduct. Ben Roberston is a former journalist with the Courier Mail and Sunday Mail. He has also worked as a freelance journalist and sub-editor for IPC Magazines in London and for Brisbane News magazine, where he wrote an architecture column and travel features. They are the coauthors of The Second Father: An Insider’s Story of Cops, Crime and Corruption.
