Wildlife Photographer of the Year: Unforgettable Underwater Photography

All the pictures in this collection have been celebrated in the past decades by the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition—the world’s most famous and prestigious event of its kind. They include some of the most exceptional underwater images of animal behavior ever taken. The collection represents the work of more than 50 international photographers and decades of diving experience. Rosamund Kidman Cox is an editor and writer, specializing in wildlife and environmental issues and with a particular interest in photography. She was editor of BBC Wildlife Magazine for 23 years and has been a judge of the competition since 1981.
