Winston the Amazing Dog

Winston the Amazing Dog starts out in life as a guard dog. However, before long, he discovers that he has a talent that makes him a famous performer in a circus. But then he is diagnosed with diabetes and he thinks his circus career is over. But treatment begins and before long, he is not only able to perform his famous stunt again, but he goes on to become even more famous! The message in this upbeat analogy is that diabetes does not have to stop a person from becoming anything they want to be - just with a few adjustments! This book could also be used by an adult who has diabetes to explain to a child what living with diabetes is like for them.
