The Wonderland Beyond the Wall An Adventure in a Chinese Garden

Summer is here! Ah Wen and her little sister dug out Granpa’ s antique kite. They fixed it up with brand new tails and took it out for a flight. However, the string broke and the kite disappeared inside an ancient yard. Ah Wen climbed over the wall to fetch the kite, but unexpectedly stumbled into a bizarre land, where a fascinating adventure started. In this curious place, Ah Wen encountered many wild things. Over the hills and around the river, she arrived at a wonderland where kind villagers resided. With their help, Ah Wen prepared for her journey across the dangerous “ Sleeping Island.” Guided by her determination to find the antique kite and her little sister, Ah Wen overcame her fear and successfully crossed the island. Ah Wen finally found the antique kite at a market, and was happily reunited with her little sister. They followed a long road which led them home outside the ancient yard. Although everything seemed the same, Ah Wen knew, with the courage and love that she discovered during the adventure, life would be forever different.
