Work and Unseen Chronic Illness: Silent Voices

There are a growing number of working adults affected by chronic health conditions that may be largely invisible to those around them. In this book, the author explores the 'silent' problem of unseen illness at work. The author employs qualitative research methods to challenge the idea that if you look well, you must be well. While demonstrating the effectiveness of this controversial methodology, she uses it to expose the voices of a group of marginalized workplace actors who have hitherto remained unheard.
