Joanne Levine is an Academic Area Coordinator for Community and Human Services at the Center for Distance Learning at SUNY, Empire State College. She has taught numerous social work and human service courses both on-line and face-to-face. She has been a practicing social worker for over 20 years, having worked in a variety of practice settings throughout her career. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Hampshire College and her Master’s degrees in social work and public health at Columbia University, and her Doctoral degree in Social Welfare, with an additional Certificate in Womens Studies, at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
