If You Don't Like to Read, Read This!

This book shares my struggles with reading during my early childhood. I felt alone because the other children seemed to enjoy reading and I did not have the same love for it. I decided to embrace my individuality because the subject of reading is not for everyone. My story will show my audience that reading is not a "one size fit all" concept.

I discovered that there are other ways to express yourself without enjoying reading. You can still learn, thrive, and achieve in many other ways. Embrace YOUR individuality!

This book includes a list of recommendations for students and their parents to help with reading.

Aaliyah Adams-Mayfield is 17 years old and will be entering her senior year in high school in the fall of 2024. Aaliyah is an accomplished athlete with countless awards under her belt. She is gifted and talented in academics and athletics. Although she is somewhat on the shy side, she is opinionated and stays focused on her goals.
Dr. Brenda Farmer is the Grandmother of the author, Aaliyah Adams Mayfield. Dr. Farmer is enjoying her retirement and preparing for her only grandchild's entrance into college in the fall of 2025.
