Manhattan Watercolors is a charming collection of artist Bob Bowden's en plein air watercolor perspectives of the island of Manhattan. Bowden's painting style and notoriously difficult medium lends his cityscapes with both an intimacy and immediacy that perfectly capture the most alluring aspects of the city. Subjects include: The Metropolitan Museum of Art; Central Park's Bethesda Fountain; The Guggenheim; the Flatiron building; Central Park West skyline; Washington Square Park, and Vesuvio Bakery, to name only a few.

Robert Bowden has had fourteen solo exhibitions and his work is part of the permanent collections of three national museums. Bowden teaches watercolor painting at Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
