We Don't Need Another Wave is the next generation of feminists' response to the question of whether or not they self-define as third-wave feminists. Today's young feminists are wary of being labeled. They are media-savvy, hyper-aware of being categorized and marginalized, and are here to tell the world that feminists are feminists-diverse in age and experience-and that it's time to drop the labels in favor of proactive agendas and united goals

Melody Berger graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a degree in Women's Studies. She also studied voice and violin at both Vanderbilt University and Westminster Choir College. In 2005, she created the F-WORD zine, www.thef-wordzine.com, a feminist publication for teens/youthful people, for which she's interviewed some of her favorite feminists, including Gloria Steinem, Margaret Cho, Alix Olson, Jennifer Baumgardner, Amy Richards, Wendy Shanker, Heather Booth, Liza Featherstone, and others. Berger is a bluegrass fiddler and is looking forward to an internship with Bitch Magazine in 2006.
