Vivian Kimball (she/her) has designed the last several Whole Terrain volumes, and is a project manager and environmental scientist at VHB. After receiving an undergraduate degree in electronic media, arts, and communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and designing books and gift products in New York City for 4 years, Kimball returned to school to obtain a master of science in environmental science with a concentration in conservation biology from Antioch University New England. Sophy Tuttle is an artist with an Illustration degree from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from the Hartford Art School. Her work is focused on our place in the natural world and the conflicts and collaborations we find ourselves in every day with nature. She has illustrated for Whole Terrain since 2009. More of her work can be found at www.sophytuttle.com. Sue Gentile, General Editor (she/her), grew up in Connecticut and earned a BA in political science and environmental studies at Williams College. She worked at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts for more than two decades as a teacher, coach, dorm head, director of environmental education, chair of the executive committee of the faculty, and dean. Along the way Sue completed a MS in environmental studies with a specialization in environmental education at Antioch University New England (AUNE), and in 2002 Sue began teaching at AUNE. Cherice Bock, Coordinating Editor (she/her), lives with her family in Newberg, Oregon on the traditional lands of the Kalapuya. While finishing up her doctorate in environmental studies from Antioch University New England, Bock uses her master of divinity and master of science in environmental studies to teach college and seminary courses relating to religion and environmental justice. She does faith-based organizing and advocacy as the leader of Oregon Interfaith Power and Light. Bock co-edited and contributed to the book Quakers, Creation Care, and Sustainability (2019). Michael Metivier, Managing Editor (he/him), is a poet, musician, and freelance editor. He served as Whole Terrain's editor for volume 19, "Net Works"; coordinating editor for volume 20, "Heresy"; and managing editor since then. He lives in Vermont with his wife and daughters. Rowland Russell (he/his) has been managing director of Whole Terrain since 2005. He received an MA in Whole Systems Design from Antioch University Seattle and a PhD in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England, and has offered coursework in natural history, place-based writing, environmental literature, and ecopsychology. Rowland has co-founded or served on the boards of numerous organizations at the crossroads of youth, nature, creativity, education and restoration.
