Daughters of India

This volume gives us glimpses of the life and work of a missionary among the women and girls of India, by one who has spent many years in that country, and who in the intercourse of the street, the school and the home has learned to love its people. Over these pages fall the shadows of the woes of that stricken land-the famine, the earthquake and the plague-and the deeper shades of idolatry, which have darkened countless human souls. But, thank God, this brief record also shows us lives which have been touched by the LIGHT of the WORLD, and have thenceforth become centers of light amid the surrounding darkness.
