Gabriel Marino is an editor of self-improvement books. Life is looking good for Gabe: His job at a small publishing company is stable, and he just got promoted. Then dark signs and portents occur after Gabe participates in a bizarre ritual: Unprovoked conflicts spring up with his coworkers, and a moron he despises becomes his boss.
