New Poetries IV

Eleven rising poets from around the world fill this anthology with English-language work that tests the traditional boundaries of writing. The authors reflect a diverse mix of cultures, generations, and poetic styles but are unified by their formal scope, the breadth of their themes, and the beauty of their art. Each work unveils new landscapes, real and imagined, from the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, and elsewhere. Together these writers, among them Andrew Frolish, Edward Ragg, Emma Jones, Joanna Preston, and Kei Miller, offer a collection that presents continents and cultures in a remarkably innovative light.

Stephen Procter is a book reviewer and a PhD student at the University of Liverpool. Michael Schmidt is a professor of poetry at the University of Glasgow and the general editor of PN Review. He has published several collections of poems, two novels, and two books of translations. Eleanor Crawforth is a reviewer for PN Review and an MA student at the University of Manchester.
