Human Disease for Dentists

This book is a guide to human disease for dental students, qualified dentists and relevant professions complimentary to dentistry. The book is aimed at the requirements of the dental profession and is not a mini medical textbook. The focus is on conditions likely to be seen or occur in the dental surgery, and does not stray into more specialised territory.The book is structured over six sections, starting with the basic skills of history taking and examination. The second section on diseases and conditions accounts for the largest part of the book, and covers the major systemic diseases. This is followed by a useful section on pharmacology and anaesthetics as applied to dentistry, including drug interactions. The final sections are dedicated to revision and provide self-assessment opportunities.
