What Is the Point?

Searching for the answers to the meaning of life At a time in life when most young women are thinking about the next guy they want to go out with or the next song they want to download from iTunes, Misty Edwards was consumed with thoughts about the purpose of her life and the meaning of creation. Though she grew up in a devout Christian home, she was unable to believe that what she was taught about God was the absolute truth; she had to search for truth on her own. Ultimately she discovered the truth she shares in this book: that what God wants is our hearts. She also gives practical ways that we can live in the power of God's love and shows how doing so not only affects us as individuals but also unifies us as the body of Christ and makes us a relevant force in the earth. Telling her story of having cancer twice, Misty touches on some of the hard topics of life such as pressure and pain. She also talks about the global pressure and the global plan that God has to bring forth love in the earth.

Misty Edwards has been a worship leader at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOP-KC) for more than ten years. She is one of four permanent board members at the Missions Base, the head section leader of the Global Prayer Room, and the executive producer of Forerunner Music.
