My Decision to Live

I remember the day so clearly, it feels like it just happened, I was lying in my hospital room and my vital signs were stable for the first time since the accident, eight days ago. I had lost ninety pounds and was a frail skeleton of my previous 180 pound frame. My body had gone through thirteen surgeries and I was still hazy from the morphine drip, but I was alive. As my thoughts became clear for the first time since the accident, I felt a great shift take place, a wave of positive energy. Nader Elguindi is an expert on leadership and motivation. As a U.S. Navy submarine officer, Nader had a terrible accident that severed both his legs and caused him to permanently lose his right foot. He overcame the accident and went on to become the first nuclear submarine officer to complete his qualifications with a prosthetic leg. After the Navy, Nader became a tireless entrepreneur and built a nationally recognized firm, Cydecor, from scratch, acquiring clients such as Hendrick Automotive Group, Duke Energy, and BSN medical. Following the collapse of the technology market in 2000, Nader had to reinvent himself and his company once again, building from the foundation of Cydecor and venturing into government contracting. Today he is the president of his high-growth company and is now servicing the Department of the Navy as well as other federal clients through his business. Nader is also a peer-visitor volunteer at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.His story inspires everyone to achieve more with what they have!
