We first try to identify some problem areas, especially in math education. This includes but is not limited to inflated grades, cheating, distracting behavior, and lack of support from administrators. In far too many cases, the most important consideration an administrator has is how to keep everyone happy and keep his job. This is very often accomplished at the expense of the teacher. Students are aware of it but parents often miss out on the details. If parents were fully aware they might possibly want somebody fired. The last part of the book is for anyone who has considered ways that math education might be improved. We offer very specific details to be considered in keeping no child from being left behind while at the same time making sure no child is held back in the process. We really could improve our educational system if we could just get past the talking stage.
