Antoni Gaudi (Catalonia, 1852-Barcelona, 1926) became an architect in 1878. His work is concentrated in Barcelona and led to the creation of its most notable landmarks. Gaudi was a pioneer in the field of architecture using color, texture, and forms never before imagined. His works, particularly those built for the Guell family (e.g. the Park Guell) stand as testimony to his genius.
