Since its #2 Billboard Top 200 debut, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’s debut album, The Heist has reached platinum sales and earned the Seattle-based hip-hop duo four Grammy Awards including Best New Artist, Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Collaboration. The duo earned a standing ovation for their historic performance of their gay rights anthem “Same Love” at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards in 2014. They played a rendition of their song with special guest Madonna, while Queen Latifah officiated a wedding ceremony for thirty-three couples.

Along with two #1 hits under their belts, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone and performed on Saturday Night Live and Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series. They have also garnered attention in the New York Times, NPR, USA Today, Time, and graced the cover of Billboard, with live performances on nearly every late night TV show. They wrapped 2013 with a sold-out worldwide arena tour and won awards at the People’s Choice (Favorite Hip Hop Artist), The MTV VMA’s (Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Cinematography, and Best Video with a Social Message), the AMA’s (Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist, Favorite Rap Album), the YouTube Awards (YouTube Breakthrough of The Year Award), and the BET Awards (Best Group) among others.
