Mrkusich Abstraction in New Zealand

Tracing New Zealand's most powerful modernist's work, this invaluable study is the first account of the leading abstract painter, Milan Mrkusich. The first half of this biographical and artistic study focuses on Mrkusich's life, the international and national contexts of his work, and the nature of his abstractionism, while the second half examines his work in-depthproviding nine chapters with color plates detailing each of the artist's major series.
