The Smart Cookies Start a Business

The Smart Cookies are three girls who are best friends and love to go on adventures together.  They are curious, funny first-graders and their names are Maya, Lulu and Piper.  When The Smart Cookies go out in the world they have a habit of meeting fascinating women with interesting jobs.  In this book they meet a woman who has her own business putting on birthday parties (“Wanda the Birthday Fairy”).  She explains to the Smart Cookies what an entrepreneur is, and the girls dream up a business they want to start. Then they make a business plan and get cracking. They launch the Dizzy Disco, for kids only. This book teaches girls how to start a business and that if they dream it, they can do it!

Jessica Jensen is the mother of a spunky little girl named Lily. She is also a marketing executive at Facebook. She has enjoyed a long career in digital media and marketing. She holds an MBA from INSEAD (France) and a B.A. from Amherst College. She is a passionate proponent of strong women’s voices and mentoring future female business leaders-- and little girls!
