Educational Leadership Policies and Practices highlights voices from different developing countries that echo the need for sustainable, enabling, and liberating educational leadership that will stimulate ideas and ideals to usher new ways of looking at old problems of educational leadership.

The chapters, largely, are based on original empirical field research, learnings drawn from applied research, and study of organizational learning. In addition, they are based on policy analysis and analytical deconstruction of the mind-boggling nuances of pedagogical, transformational, or transforming leadership theories.

Jan-e-Alam Khaki has been Associate Professor at AKU-IED, Pakistan, leading to the leadership of the PhD programme. His first edited book Educational leadership in Pakistan: Ideals and realities (2010) was published by OUP.

Gulab Khan is Assistant Professor at the Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali School of Education (SoE), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore.

Mola Dad Shafa is Associate Professor at the AKU-IED, Pakistan also having the portfolio of Head of AKUs two Professional Development Centres in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, both underprivileged regions.

Sadruddin B. Qutoshi is Assistant professor of the Department of Educational Development and Head of the Centre for Research and Training in ECD, Karakoram International University, Pakistan.
