Wieslaw Musialowski (1948-) is undoubtedly one of the most interesting rhyming poets to emerge from contemporary Poland within the last fifteen years. Today, the poems that he wrote between the years 1996 and 2012 amount to over 1400 rhyming works. Wieslaw Musialowski's writing is often compared to the works of many outstanding Polish poets who have already passed away. He has been compared, among others, to Adam Asnyk, Boleslaw Lesmian, Juliusz Slowacki and Leopold Staff.This book of poetry contains a variety of selected poems written by the poet between the years 1996 and 2012.Wieslaw Musialowski's poetry consists of uncompromising and sharp-witted sociopolitical poems; social poems, poems on universal themes, poems praising the beauty of nature, philosophical poems, poems that explore the profound wisdom of life; and poems addressed to his mother.The above classification is, of course, artificial and temporary, as some poems can be assigned to several categories simultaneously.
