Homecoming

Surviving out of your comfort zone is perhaps the toughest circumstance known to man. In Cedric Perry's novel Homecoming, young suburbanite Malcolm Brown attempts to not only survive, but shine. Malcolm enrolls in Hawkins University, the oldest Historically Black College in the nation. Initially the fish out of water, his talent and charm earn him recognition. But Michelle, a hurricane in heels, throws Malcolm into a zone that consumes his attention and throws him off his game. With friends, family and his classes vying for attention, Malcolm must learn to balance his crush and reclaim his swagger. Malcolm fights for respect, credibility, and a little bit of love, in turn earning much more. Will he be successful?
