Curse God and Die

Horrible events scar the early years of Harry O'Brien's life and he doesn't understand why until, on his seventeenth birthday his Grandmother reluctantly shows him a court document from the late eighteen-hundreds, and explains that the O'Brien family has been cursed by God. The years that follow this revelation are riddled with hard luck; they carry Harry into a bitter and hopeless adulthood. And then he meets Carmen, and to his amazement things seem to change for the better as he and his true love, determined to improve their miserable circumstance, design a strange and complex plan that will bring them either wealth or death.
